All motorcycle makes, models & CC’s welcome at mono motorcycles

Blog

This week has been another busy one at the mono motorcycles workshop. From Yamaha Tenere & MT07 to Suzuki GSXR 1100, Ducati 900, Pan European & Triumphs a plenty; mono motorcycles showcases that we welcome all makes & all models to the mono motorcycles workshop.

Monday morning we welcomed more Triumphs to the mono motorcycles workshop.

The white Tiger sport 1050 which joined us last week, was found to have a warped front disc. Therefore, once the parts were in, this one could be completed.

We welcomed a Daytona 675 in as a non start & found the tip over switch not attached & therefore the Daytona thought it was upside down so cut the fuel pump out!

We also welcomed a stunning early Triumph Speed Triple in for fork seals & arranging an MOT.

Up on the ramp on Monday afternoon we welcomed another Suzuki GSXR. The GSXR 1100 Slingshot having been test ridden by Daniel upon arrival, had been identified as running rough idle.

On Tuesday having stripped the carbs from the Suzuki GSXR 1100 Slingshot yesterday & in doing so found one of the vacuum hoses had been poorly repaired & was leaking; Daniel then stripped, cleaned & ultrasonically cleaned the carbs.

Daniel re-built the GSXR carbs & spent some time balancing them. Once out on a test ride Daniel reflected that the GSXR rode in a “linear” fashion & that the ‘rough idle’ had been solved.

Wednesday was a considerably busy day at the mono motorcycles workshop.

The GSXR1100 had a minor exhaust leak fixed & new plugs fitted & was made ready to go home. We welcomed a brand new Yamaha Tenere T1200 in for a fitting of headlights, replacing the stator cover & greasing of headstock bearings & rear shock linkage & the Ducati Monster had the carbs apart.. Again!

Thursday, we welcomed a Pan European in for fork seals, brakes, valve clearances & we have also welcomed a Triumph Daytona 675 race bike to convert back to road spec.

Friday morning we welcomed a Yamaha MT07 for annual servicing & replacement rear tyre.

We have launched our Online Charity Christmas Quiz for 2020 & hope to be able to raise some much needed funding for Amicii Dog Rescue & SERV. All proceeds will be split 50/50 between these two charities. You can buy your tickets at Brown Paper Tickets
