Detailing, servicing & diagnostics at mono motorcycles

Blog

The past fortnight has been very busy for team mono motorcycles.

With considerable changes being made to the workshop & designated customer area now being in place & a packed workshop diary; we’ve been pulling some extra long days to ensure we get it all done.

Last week we welcomed the popping green Kawasaki EN6n, which joined us for major servicing.

Our customer could not have been happier with the quality of service both to his motorcycle & our customer service. Here’s what our happy customer had to say about the mono motorcycles experience:

“Recently had my ER-6N in for a major service the bike feels brand new again both Dan and Katy go above and beyond to help the customer and the standard of work is absolutely exceptional. Thank you both again ”

We welcomed two very different Triumphs for full machine detailing & winter protection last week.

The Triumph 1050 RS with it’s matt paint livery was snow foamed, de-greased, paint work cleaned & ceramic seal/nanoseal treatment applied to the paintwork/frame & ACF50 treatment to all exposed elements.

All of these processes help to prolong the longevity of the Triumph, protecting the external components, metalwork & paint from winter riding conditions. Our Winter Protection Detailing packages begin at £160 + VAT. Call us today for more options & how we can help protect your motorcycle through the winter months, whether you are riding or hibernating.

Our second Triumph was an immaculate Triumph Street Triple R, which joined us for minor modifications & full machine detailing & winter protection. The Triumph had a new rear hugger extension & new screen fitted & then began the process of being fully machine detailed, nanoseal treatment & ACF50 winter protection coating applied. The results speak for themselves with the Triumph looking brand new. Again, our customer was over the moon:

“Absolutely brilliant service from mono AGAIN. Awesome detailing and ACF completed. My bike has NEVER looked so polished! Cannot recommended mono highly enough. Love the extras they fitted too. BIG THANKS 🖤❤️🖤❤️”

At the beginning of this week, Daniel began the final stages of the beautiful Arlen Ness re-wire. She is now ready to be sent back to P&D Custom Bikes for her final modifications & fire up.

We also welcomed our first diagnosis of this week, which was for the giant Triumph Thunderbird.

The Thunderbird joined us with an intermittent cut out fault. Despite other works having been completed prior to the Thunderbird joining us, the fault had not been identified.

Once Daniel had checked the wiring loom, the battery, ECU & stator outputs; an additional physical inspection underneath the Triumph revealed the reason for the cut out. One of the pins in one of the plugs from the regulator rectifier to the battery had somehow come loose & melted the plug. The customer was relieved to have a diagnoses & the parts are now on order to rectify the issue.

One of the services we provide is motorcycle diagnostics. Using the very latest TEXA diagnostics equipment, we have the ability to turn off service lights, diagnose & clear fault codes & identify faults on most modern motorcycles.

Therefore, when a Ducati Multistrada popped in for service light reset, we were more than happy to oblige. Our happy customer left us a wonderful review on our Facebook page, to which end we are truly grateful.

“The friendliest and tidiest garage I recently visited. You guys did more than I asked or booked for and certainly became the garage of choice for me. Can’t recommend you more to my fellow ducatistas at Ducati forum. “
