Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2025.

What a spectacular day spent in the centre of Chichester on Sunday 18^th May as part of the West Sussex Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. The sun shone, the city centre was a hive of activity and when just over 200 motorcycles descended, everyone cheered.

A distinctly eclectic mix of motorcycles with some of the most dapper riders filled the streets of Chichester, all with one objective – to raise awareness and funds to support Movember, the men’s prostate cancer and mental health charity.

This year the DGR celebrated its tenth year with over 100 countries taking part worldwide.

Once we were back on the mono motorcycles workshop on Monday we started another busy week. Here is a snapshot of some of the bikes we have welcomed through our doors this week.

BMW 1300GSA

Back in the workshop on Monday and after completing an early MOT, Daniel spent the rest of the day working on the beast that is the BMW 1300GSA.

The GSA joined us on Monday for a multitude of upgrades including the installation of Lone Rider Spotlights and associated EzCan, fitting of Motech crash bars, fitting rear brake light and the fitting of an INOVV dash cam. Daniel spent 7 hours solidly working on the GSA with the last part of the process being to fit the sound bomb horn once the correct bracket arrived.

CCM Spitfire Six.

Oaklie enjoyed working on the first of four CCM’s we were welcoming this week. The CCM Six joined us on Monday morning for an annual service.

DJK Motorcycles Ltd

Next up Oaklie spent some time on the DJK Motorcycles Ltd sales bikes wiring up a Quadlock and wireless charging system on a lovely triumph Bonneville T100 and then completing more safety checks in the afternoon.

BMW 1300GSA

On Tuesday Daniel spent Tuesday continuing with the BMW R1300GSA. Keep in mind that our customer supplied the parts.

Once all of the lights were installed Daniel attempted to switch everything on. The lights would not work. We contacted the fabulous folk at Rugged Roads for some advice, and they advised that the HEX ezCan which had been provided with the lights was incorrect. We subsequently contacted the provider of the item in the UK and reached out to Lone Rider directly.

Lone Rider confirmed that the MotoCAN should be used with the BMW 1300GSA Lone Rider lights. Once this arrived all of the lights worked correctly.

CCM Six and Yamaha R1

First up, Oaklie completed a lovely CCM Six we had in for a service he then started a Major Service on a very tidy Yamaha R1. The R1 joined us for a major service and replacement fork seals which Oaklie continued with into Wednesday.

CCM Bobber

We also welcomed a CCM Bobber to the workshop this week for a service, tank swap and some security upgrades.

Royal Enfield Classic 500 and Suzuki GSX1400

On Friday we welcomed a RE Classic 500 for an annual service and MOT and the Suzuki GSX1400 joined us for an MOT, service and to fit some new tyres.

CCM Scrambler

It certainly has been a CCM week here this week with the fourth CCM joining us being a Scrambler. The Scrambler joined us this week for a service and MOT.
