This week we have seen the past & the present collide. From the 1950’s AC Petite to the brand new Triumph Street Triple RS 2020 model; we welcome a huge cross section of motorcycles to the mono motorcycles workshop.

We started our week with the brand new 2020 model Triumph Street Triple RS up on the ramp. Our customer having removed his modifications from his previous RS, had the heated grips, tail tidy & mirrors added to the 2020 version.

Monday afternoon we welcomed our second 3 wheeled mini car in a fortnight. The AC Petite has a 350cc Villiers Engine (rear mounted) Daniel was fitting a kill switch to the Petite, as up until then, the owner had to starve the AC of fuel to get the engine to stop!

On Tuesday we welcomed back ‘Cilla’, the Vespa GTS300 for a new hugger fitting & some winter prep TLC.

Wednesday morning we welcomed an impressive Triumph Tiger Explorer XC to the mono motorcycles workshop. The Tiger benefited from a full detail & ACF50 winter treatment today, to ready her for the months ahead.

This week we welcomed a lovely little part of local family story. The bright yellow Yamaha Passola belonged to our customer in her youth. As she outgrew it, the Passola was tucked away at the back of her dad’s garage.

30 years later & now a mother of a teenage daughter of an age where a lovely little Passola would be of great benefit; the Passola was brought out of retirement.
Our customers dad having added some fuel, managed, after all these years to start the Passola. However, they couldn’t get it to run.

Therefore, the Passola having joined us on Monday & with some attention during this week, it looks like the valve has perished, meaning the crank case fills with fuel every time it starts, then floods itself.
Daniel has located a new valve & next week it us service, tyres, valve replacement & an MOT.

Sprocket has been with us for a full two weeks now & he has already changed our lives.

We have discovered that he most likely has some Romanian Mioritic Shepherd Dog in him, based on some research & we have found other rescue dogs who look very similar to him in that breed. We have discovered that Sprocket has a bit of thing for cardboard boxes & Katy’s office floor has looked like confetti for most of the past fortnight as he merrily destroys DPD box after box.

Sprocket’s training is coming on & although he is a little wary of the other puppies in his puppy class; he definitely wants to make friends with everyone. Although he has his bonkers moments, as all puppies do; we feel really lucky that on the whole he is a very relaxed & calm dog, with a wonderful & kind nature.  

As we head towards Christmas, we are having a soft launch of our mono motorcycles Saturday ‘Coffee Stop!’ on Saturday 21^st December. Fresh coffee, teas & hot chocolate will be available to purchase & as it is Christmas, mince pies & muffins will be available to accompany them.
