We have always said that mono motorcycles & vehicle security has a varied customer base & this week is no exception! From custom Harley’s , BMW C1’s, TL1000R, KTM1050 Adventure to a 2 stroke Jawa; this has been a dynamic week for mono motorcycles & vehicle security.

mono motorcycles & vehicle security started the week with a continuation of the works to a KTM1050 Adventure. The KTM1050 Adventure belongs to Paul Myers of MCi Tours, Emsworth. The preceding week the KTM1050 Adventure had been in for a full service. Once the filters, fluids & plugs were replaced, a full valve clearance was completed. As this motorcycle is used by Paul Myers for his business touring motorcycle, it is imperative for him to keep it in tip top condition. Therefore, as Paul Myers of MCi Tours was leading a tour at the end of this week, we then had the KTM1050 Adventre back in to mono motorcycles & vehicle security for a full machine detail, in advance of her European excursion. We have recently been working on a Suzuki TL1000R which had laid dormant for 5 years. After rescuing her from her owners home  in the snow in early February, she has now been lovingly restored.

She was in much need of some TLC, however when she was first brought to the mono motorcycles & vehicle security workshop, Funtington, our initial diagnostic was to ensure there was a spark. After changing the fuel, fitting a new battery, she fired up first time! The major work came next, as the TL1000R fork stanchions had become pitted & rusty & therefore we had to replace the stanchion to ensure the motorcycle was set up properly & safe to ride. However, stanchions are of course fixed in place with thread lock & are not meant to be taken apart. Therefore, following some ingenious engineering on Daniel’s part, they were removed & replaced. The TL1000R is now fully MOT’d & is ready to go back to her owner.

In addition to our continued excellence with our service & repair work, we have also seen some more custom & eccentric machines.

One of our regular customers brought his BMW C1 for us to assess. The BMW C1 is an enclosed scooter manufactured by Bertone for BMW. Compared to a conventional scooter, the C1 offered extra safety features and protection from the elements. The rider would sit in a car-type seat and adopt a feet-forward posture.

In collaboration with Max Powell of Sycamore Cars, mono motorcycles & vehicle security have had two custom Harley Davidson’s through our doors this week.

The first one of our custom Harley’s was a Hells Angels badged custom Harley Davidson, which had not been run for 10 years. A change of plugs & some Daniel Morris magic had her running in no time at all.

The second custom Harley Davidson, is currently ‘between engines’ as we are swapping one out for another one which has been modified & has had extensive tuning work completed.

To continue our excellent customer service & to increase productivity, we have now moved Katy Jane to the mono motorcycles & vehicle security workshop.

Having the onsite help, is already reaping benefits, especially when Katy Jane can hop on her AJS Cadwell & collect motorcycle parts, in addition to her Business/Marketing Manager role. Onwards & upwards mono motorcycles & vehicle security!

Our last visitor this week was Alan Judd with his Jawa 350 2 stroke twin. We have featured her before, as Daniel converted her from a 6v to 12v last year. Today, the indicators were refusing to flash. So, a quick change of flasher relay & off she went.
