From Ducati to Triumph, from Suzuki to CCM, from AJP to Honda and much much more. Variety is the spice of life!
We have been rather busy here at mono motorcycles over the past month and our blogs have been a little thin on the ground. Therefore, we thought we’d go back a month and share some of the highlights.
February 17th
Every single day is a school day!
On the 17th February we welcomed a Ducati Panigale for a Desmo service. Daniel explained to Oaklie and Jack about how the valve springs work in the Panigale. The Panigale uses a Desmodromic valve system (“Desmo”) instead of traditional coil valve springs to close the valves. This system uses a second cam lobe and rocker arm to positively push the valve closed, eliminating the “valve float” that can occur at high RPM with traditional springs.
Always learning. Always listening. Always moving forward.

February 26th
A Triumph sandwich today!
First up we welcomed a lovely Triumph T100 for an annual service, check the clutch and an MOT.
Next up we welcomed back the Kawasaki Z900 for a service, spark plug change and rear brake pads.
On the other side of the Triumph sandwich we welcomed a Triumph Street Cup for an annual service and MOT.

March 1st
1st March was 2026 registration day!
Ed travelled from Oxford on Sunday morning to collect his brand new ‘26 plate AJP PR7. We would like to thank Ex for supporting us here at mono motorcycles and we wish him many exciting and happy adventures on his brand new ‘26 plate AJP PR7.

March 4th
On the 4th March we welcomed a CCM FT for a service and some upgrades.
The CCM is now sporting some lovely Kellermann Rhombus front indicators as one of the original ones had failed. The FT has also had an annual service, a new and upgraded Oberon clutch slave cylinder, a new wing mirror as the glass fell out of one on the journey to us and an MOT.

March 5th
On the 5th March we welcomed a Honda Fireblade for a Major Service, new Avon Spirit St tyres and an MOT.
Our customer is one of our long-term customers who books his servicing often up to six months ahead of time to ensure he has a booking at the right time of year. He also took the savvy step of paying small buckets of money over a two month period which then helped him budget for the final invoice.

March 9th
On Monday 9th March we celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary.
Us – Daniel and Katy – in numbers.
10 years together @ 09.02.26.
2 years married @ 09.03.26.
9 years of mono motorcycles @ 01.04.26
1 great team – always.
Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary to us

March 12th
Now that was what you call a mixed bag!
First up we welcomed back the Triumph Tiger GT Pro for it’s annual service.
Next up, continuing our Triumph-ant Thursday theme, we welcomed a Triumph Street Triple for an annual service and check over.
By contrast, next up we welcomed a CCM Flat Tracker FT6 for an annual service, Stage 1 re-map and removal of the suicide stand function.

Following on from the CCM, we welcomed back a KTM 1290 Adventure S for an annual service and to assess some electrical faults. We found that there was a broken wire to the horn . this was repaired. The LH indicator had failed and we also noted that the rear brake pads were 80% worn and the chain and sprockets needed replacing. These were all replaced.

In the afternoon we welcomed a Ducati Monster to the workshop for an annual service, cambelt replacement and we removed the Innovv cameras. Another great sale for DJK Motorcycles Ltd.

March 13th
Friday the 13th March was a busy one!
First up we welcomed a BMW S1000R for an annual service.
While the S1000R was being serviced, we welcomed a Suzuki GSXR 1000 K8 to the workshop to assess and repair a fuel leak.
The GSXR had recently had a fuel pump fitted and when our customer got the bike home, he could see the fuel leak.
Under investigation it was one of the seals on one of the injectors which had been damaged and this is what was leaking. Daniel replaced the seal and then took the GSXR for a ‘spirited’ ride to make sure everything was in order.

Next up we welcomed one of our lovely Yamaha R1’s to the workshop. The R1 joined us for some security upgrades and an MOT.
Next up we welcomed a Triumph Street Twin with a running fault. It transpired that the clutch lever had seized and was not returning properly. Once it had been removed, cleaned and re-greased, everything worked correctly once again.
Next up we welcomed a regular Vespa Primavera which we see annually for its service and MOT.
Last but by no means least, we also welcomed a Yamaha Tracer 900 GT for an annual service.

March 16th
Another busy day at the mono motorcycles workshop.
First up we welcomed a Triumph Bobber for a Major Service and MOT. During the service it was found that the valve clearances were all out. Therefore, these were adjusted and the bike was re-shimmed.

Next up we welcomed a Kawasaki Versys 1000 for valve clearances only. In this case, the clearances were all in spec.

Next up we brought the Suzuki Bandit back into the workshop after it failed the MOT last week. The Bandit had headstock bearings, new brake pads and we replaced the rocker cover gasket which was leaking.
We also welcomed a Honda CBR500 for an annual service, brake pads all round and chain and sprockets. However, on Saturday when we undertook the MOT, we also found that the swing arm bearings had failed. Having advised our customer, he authorised the repairs. The parts on are on back order and this part of the job will be completed when they arrive.

March 17th
March the 17th and what a glorious day it was.
Today we had a BMW sandwich.
First up we welcomed back a regular visitor in the shape of the BMW R1100S. The R1100S joined us for an MOT, annual service and Daytona heated grips. Our customer advised that he felt the front brakes fluctuated under heavy braking. During the MOT it was observed as an advisory that the front discs were warped and the front tyre was out of shape. Our customer has rebooked for these essential repairs in May.

Next up one of two fabulous bikes from DJK Motorcycles Ltd.
The Honda VFR 800 joined us for an annual service.
Next up we welcomed a BMW R1250R for an annual service and an MOT. Another great sale from DJK Motorcycles Ltd.

March 18th

Today we welcomed two Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 500’s to the mono motorcycles workshop.
First up (foreground) we welcomed the RE 500 for an annual service and MOT.
Next up (background) we welcomed our second RE 500 Classic for an annual service and chain and sprockets.
