Good news and positivity abound at mono motorcycles

Blog

The past few weeks have ushered in some new and exciting episodes in our mono motorcycles journey.

In amongst a very busy and full diary of motorcycle service, repair and wiring, we have also achieved some milestones for our business and had some very good news in other areas.

With this in mind we would like to make this week’s blog about the positive changes we have welcomed over the past couple of weeks. We would like to share the positivity with all our customers, followers, family and friends and thank everyone for their continued support.

New recruit!

Introducing the Fab Four!

Team mono motorcycles is growing. We now have Oaklie with us full time and Julian has joined us as a technician on a part time basis from the beginning of August.

Short holiday in the New Forest.

We were in need of a short break and therefore we headed off to the peace and quiet of The New Forest for a long weekend.

While we were away, we celebrated Sprocket’s 5th Birthday.

As most people know, both our boys are Romanian rescue dogs. Sprocket was only 4 weeks old when he was left in a box, with his siblings, outside the Amicii Dog Rescue Romania Dora and her incredible team took them in and at 5 months old Sprocket joined us in the UK.

Helmet City Open Day.

What an incredible day at the Helmet City Open Day. The sun shone and the bikes just kept on coming.

The Helmet City Open day was a great opportunity for suppliers to showcase their products and engage directly with the public.

It was also a great opportunity for us to showcase our business to a wider audience and let Chichester bikers and beyond know we are here to support them.

Breakfast Club and MOT testing centre grand opening.

What an incredible morning at the mono motorcycles breakfast club and MOT testing centre official opening.

As many people know this year we have finally managed to put an MOT Testing Centre in at mono motorcycles.

The intention has always been for us to be a one stop shop for all service, repair, wiring and MOT needs for our local community and beyond.

However, as we simply did not have the funding to cover the nearly £20K it costs to install an MOT testing station, we decided to reach out to our local community.

Through Go Fund Me fund raising and the kindness of some of our long term customers/supporters, we managed to raise the funds for the equipment and project management side of the mot Testing Centre which is £12K.

We sold our caravan and some other personal items to raise the rest of the funds.

We are so unbelievably humbled by the belief our customers and supporters have in us and are eternally grateful for their incredible support during this process.

To celebrate this incredible example of generosity of spirit within the biking community, we dedicated our July breakfast club to be the Grand Opening of the MOT testing centre and invited those who donated and supported our journey to be part of our official opening.

The morning was a perfect example of how incredible it is when the biking community pulls together.

Thank you to everyone for turning out in droves and supporting this very special day.

Thank you to Klare from Urban Wolf for photographing the entire event.

Thank you again to all those who have supported us over the years, have supported us financially, emotionally and physically to help us achieve our MOT goal and thank you to every single one of our fantastic customers and supporters for all of your continued belief in us here at mono motorcycles. You are all what makes mono motorcycles great.

Thank you, all the best Daniel and Katy

Motorcycle News article.

Sooooooooo … we are in Motorcycle News

Katy contacted MCN a couple of weeks ago explaining about the story of how the MOT testing centre came together and they said they would love to run a story on us.

What an incredible write up by the MCN team and what a fantastic way to thank everyone who has supported us on our business journey.

New van signage.

Our latest upgrade and investment is to the sides and rear of our new work van.

Huge Thank You to Edd from Wrap UK for such an incredible job.

Billboard.

To spread the word sometimes you have got to be seen. Therefore, we now have a large billboard at Churchers Corner on the turning to Westbourne, West Sussex. The billboard is on a road often frequented by bikers, so we hope it will spread the word that we are here to help.

A personal note.

The last six months have been a very busy time for us both. From Katy’s trip to hospital for appendicitis, to us getting married in March, to crowdfunding for the MOT bay, to our two day intensive MOT training, to taking on new staff, to expanding our business, to buying a new van and becoming a CCM Approved Centre – we’ve crammed quite a lot into a short space of time.

Running a business can be tough and it can be challenging at times. We both work very long hours to support our customers and offer them the very best service. Our weekends are lost to planning and sorting our next projects and how we can continually keep the business moving forward.

However, at the centre of all of this is a large group of people who believe in us and believe in what we are doing. It is those people whose endless support keeps us driving ever forward, who make mono motorcycles great and we appreciate their support every single day.

Thank You everyone for believing in mono motorcycles.

All the best, Daniel and Katy
