Big bike week at mono motorcycles ! It certainly been an adventurous week at the mono motorcycles workshop this week, with 3 of the industries Adventure bikes gracing our doors. Plus, plenty of service work too for this time of year.

Monday morning we had a Suzuki thing going on. The Suzuki Bandit 1200 re-joined us for chain & sprockets & the Suzuki GSXR 1000 K3 was being completed & having a final torque check up. The new discs & refurbished brake calipers on the GSXR made a huge difference not only in performance but in styling too. Our customer was so pleased, he posted us an incredible review/recommendation on Facebook:

First up on the ramp Tuesday morning, we welcomed back a BMW K1300R for it’s annual service

Tuesday afternoon we welcomed back our regular visitor in the shape of a KTM Super Adventure 1290. The super Adventure paid us a few visits last year with some ‘after sales’ issues & our customer even joked that the KTM knows the journey so well to our workshop, it could most likely take itself!

For this visit, the KTM joined us for an annual service.

We have welcomed a series of adventure bikes to the mono motorcycles workshop this week, all of them joined us for servicing.

Coming up over the winter months we have a CB750 which the customer wants built into a cafe racer. Thinking ahead, we have had the frame in to work out where the battery & m.unit will go to make it as neat as possible. mono motorcycles came up with the ideas & handed the fabrication work to Ben @bmfabrications. Ben has built a battery box the same shape as the oil tank with a tray in the top to mount the m.unit. He then fabricated a steel seat pan.

On Wednesday, following the assessment last week, we began to carry out the work on the Ducati Monster.

This little gem has been dry stored for 5 plus years so we have a big list of things to do before we can start it up including: Cambelts, carb overhaul, engine service, then tyres, fork seals & brake service.

Thursday morning, the Ducati was unrecognisable as following an initial engine start up to check the Ducati would run, Daniel has now completely stripped the Ducati to commence the regeneration tasks.

Also on Thursday, we welcomed some serious wildlife to the mono motorcycles workshop in the shape of two Tigers! The Triumph Tiger Explorer & Triumph Tiger Sport both join us for servicing.

Up on the ramp on Friday, we welcome back one of our regular customers stunning Harley Davidson Heritage Softail. The Softail joins us again for it’s annual service & a winter detail & winter prep treatment.
