KTM, Vespa, Suzuki, Can Am, Moto Guzzi & Yamaha at mono motorcycles

Well this week has been hotting up & we have seen a great collection of motorcycles through the mono motorcycles doors.

On Monday we welcomed a KTM Superduke 1290 GT belonging to one of our regular customers.

The Superduke joined us for some upgrades including de-cat exhaust, new sprocket, K&N filter, Rottweiler SAS emissions remover & Rapid Bike Module.

On Tuesday we welcomed our second Can Am this year.

The simply gorgeous Can-Am Spyder sported an incredible wrap by World Class Wraps & joined us for a service & MOT. The Can Am’s are quite a machine to get around, have 3 oil filters & in parts need to be worked from underneath a bit like a car.

We are able to carry out all service, repairs & diagnostics to all Can-Am models. Inbox us for more details!

On Wednesday we welcomed a lovely Vespa 300 Supertech which joined us for some essential security upgrades.

On Thursday we had a catch up day.

The Moto Guzzi joined us as a non start over a week ago.  Although Daniel had got it running, we then had to re-book the Guzzi for fork seal replacements, as they were leaking badly upon receipt.

Daniel also took the Yamaha XJR1300 out for another test ride on Thursday. Having had the carbs apart once to rebuild, once to check a float bowl hadn’t stuck, repaired the fuel tap & drained the fuel to check it didn’t have water in it; he now believes the missfire is most likely a coil or HT lead breaking down. A new coil is on order & the assessment process continues.

As with so many motorcycles, often it can take a process of elimination to ascertain what the underlying issues are, especially when a motorcycle is too old to plug in to modern diagnostic software.

On Friday a GSX S1000F joined us for a Full service, Fitting of Quickshifter, Fitting of USB Connector, Fitting New brake pads front & rear, SAT NAV replacement & mount fitting & Fitting of heated grips (always wired to go off with the ignition)

Modern motorcycles are incredibly aerodynamic & the fairing designs are created to enhance the performance. However, some designs have so many screws, bolts & hidden clips there has a to be a careful process of removal of fairings & panels to avoid any damage. The Suzuki fairing panels, front end off & the removal of the tank took Daniel nearly an hour.

We are encouraging people to consider their motorcycle service bookings going forward into Autumn & Winter.

At time of press we are currently booking from the 28th September 2020. Therefore, if you are seeking to catch up with your servicing intervals, do considering contacting us to book in for Winter 2020/ Jan, Feb, March 2021 to make sure you are road ready come Spring 2021!

Due to the Covid19 pandemic, we currently do not have a waiting area for customers & our reception is still closed.

We are working hard to ensure our reception area is re-opened as soon as is possible, but it must be a Covid Secure space to protect us & our customers.
Many thanks for your continued support.
