mono motorcycles wiring, safety, detailing & servicing
Autumn is here & the mono motorcycles calendar is still full.
This week has been a week full of professional detailing & winter prep, electronics & wiring, servicing & accident repair at the mono motorcycles workshop.
We are ever mindful of safety at mono motorcycles & always advise our customers if we note any advisories which need attention, while their motorcycles are in our care. Of late we have even taken to undertaking a health check for some motorcycles, advising our customers of safety issues & potential MOT failure points. However, sometimes motorcycle owners are not as vigilant & vital components & essential safety points are overlooked.
Therefore, whatever the weather, if you ride seasonally or year round; checking the status of your brakes & tyres for example, is imperative. These brake pads show extreme wear & tear & could impact on the motorcycles performance. If you are unsure if your brake pads, calipers, discs or tyres are performing safely or legally; please do drop by on one of our ‘Safety Saturday’ sessions for a free health check.
Monday & Tuesday were detailing day’s at mono motorcycles.
Daniel began with the detailing of our customers stunning Yamaha R1; with a full paint correction detail, which took Daniel approximately 6 hours to complete. The paintwork was wet flat polished to bring the paint back to life & the difference between a valet & a detail is clearly shown in the photo’s below.
The R1 also had a nasty scratch to the headlight. With the fairing removed, Daniel wet flat & machine polished the headlight to remove the scratch.
On Tuesday we undertook two more full machine detail’s, with the Triumph 765 RS & the Aprilia Tuono V4 joining us.
The Triumph 765 RS detailing & winter prep is complete & the crystal white paintwork now pops!
The Aprilia Tuono V4 detailing & winter prep is now complete & the paintwork’s vibrancy shows how professional detailing & attention to detail can be transformative!
Full machine detailing,
polishing, ACF50 treatment & nano seal packages start from £160 + VAT.

Tuesday afternoon we welcomed the jet black Honda CB1000R to the mono motorcycles workshop.
The CB1000R joined us for interim servicing. Our customer took to Facebook to thank us for the work we completed.
Another happy mono motorcycles customer. We are always so very grateful for the great feedback we receive, as we really do strive to give our customers, supporters, family & friends the very best mono motorcycles experience & the best of both of us.
Thursday, a Yamaha Diversion joined us for accident damage repair. We are still awaiting the front panel from Japan, but can make a start on the other damaged items.
If you are involved in an accident which wasn’t your fault; contact us & we can put you in touch with McAms. McAms are an accident intermediary who will not only act on your behalf & negotiate with your insurance company to keep & repair your bike, rather than it being written off; but while your motorcycle is off the road, they will arrange for a hire bike for the duration.
Thursday, Daniel began our next motogadget conversion.
The mean looking Yamaha XJ1300 which has already benefited from some stunning modifications by its owner; has now been transferred to our care to complete the project. First task was for Daniel to remove the old wiring loom & carefully connect the motogadget system to become the new central nervous system of the XJ.
The motogadget m.unit blue has been chosen to replace the old wiring loom & the momentary press push button controls, will do away with the clumsy switch gear from the original motorcycle. Customisation never had so many options! Super slick technology, for forward thinking & discerning motorcyclists.
Friday morning & first up on the ramp, the distinct fiery red of the Ducati 899 Panigale. The Panigale joined us for fluid change, race brake pads fitting & track day prep.
Next up on the ramp on Friday, a midnight blue BMW K1200GT. The BMW joined us, as she has been coughing & spluttering recently. We ran a TEXA diagnostic scan, which showed no faults. Therefore, the investigation turned to a mechanical inspection.
Our last Breakfast Club of 2019 is now on Sunday 3rd Nov 9am – 11.00am. Rain or shine, breakfast will be served. Our workshop will be opened up for guests to mingle & eat a hearty breakfast, or drop in for a pitstop.
