mono motorcycles wiring, safety, detailing & servicing

Blog

Autumn is here & the mono motorcycles calendar is still full.

This week has been a week full of professional detailing & winter prep, electronics & wiring, servicing & accident repair at the mono motorcycles workshop.

We are ever mindful of safety at mono motorcycles & always advise our customers if we note any advisories which need attention, while their motorcycles are in our care. Of late we have even taken to undertaking a health check for some motorcycles, advising our customers of safety issues & potential MOT failure points. However, sometimes motorcycle owners are not as vigilant & vital components & essential safety points are overlooked.

Therefore, whatever the weather, if you ride seasonally or year round; checking the status of your brakes & tyres for example, is imperative. These brake pads show extreme wear & tear & could impact on the motorcycles performance. If you are unsure if your brake pads, calipers, discs or tyres are performing safely or legally; please do drop by on one of our ‘Safety Saturday’ sessions for a free health check.

If you are involved in an accident which wasn’t your fault; contact us & we can put you in touch with McAms. McAms are an accident intermediary who will not only act on your behalf & negotiate with your insurance company to keep & repair your bike, rather than it being written off; but while your motorcycle is off the road, they will arrange for a hire bike for the duration.

Thursday, Daniel began our next motogadget conversion.

The mean looking Yamaha XJ1300 which has already benefited from some stunning modifications by its owner; has now been transferred to our care to complete the project. First task was for Daniel to remove the old wiring loom & carefully connect the motogadget system to become the new central nervous system of the XJ.
