Blog

As the sun continues to shine, we have welcomed a variety of motorcycles though our doors this week. Let’s take a look at a few of them.

August Breakfast Club, CCM ride in, CCM demo and test rides

What an incredible morning. The sun shone and the bikes just kept on arriving.

We welcomed riders from as far afield as Weymouth, Southampton and Burgess Hill this morning which is fantastic.

It was so great to see so many people join us today.

It was our absolute privilege to welcome CCM Motorcycles to our breakfast club today. It was a great opportunity for attendees to find out more about this established British brand and take advantage of the test ride opportunities.

Everyone enjoyed delicious breakfast’s, coffee and cake provided by Cattlebox Kitchen and Mistyblue Bikers Corner were on hand with their hand made biker apparel.

Thank you to everyone who joined us , it was lovely to see you all.

Our next breakfast club is Sunday 22nd September. We look forward to seeing you then.

All the best, Daniel and Katy

CCM motogadget wiring project well underway.

We are in the process of installing a bespoke motogadget wiring system into a CCM Tracker. The beauty of the motogadget system is that it means we can remove the original dash, the switchgear, change the headlight and the indicators. By installing an mo.unit blue which is an on-board electrical system control unit whjich allows the installation of new vehicle electrics.

The digital vehicle upgrade is the Bluetooth connection to the smartphone with innovative functions such as keyless go, tour logs, vehicle management and much more.

Thus far, Daniel has started unravelling a CCM wiring loom ready to add in the new bespoke minimal wiring loom which will be controlled by the mo.unit blue.

Daniel has already mounted the motoscope pro dash, had the original dash mount cut down, has removed the original switchgear and replaced with the mo.switch mini and installed the mo.blaze bar end indicators.

The project is still in progress currently and we are looking to showcase the finished product at Kickback on 8th September at The Sammy Miller Museum.

Tuesday

On Tuesday we welcomed a Triumph Tiger XCA for Interim Service and new tyres.

The BMW GS1200 had all new brake lines fitted to bypass the failed ABS pump and 6 MOTs were completed in the afternoon.

Wednesday

On Wednesday we welcomed a regular to the workshop, the BMW nineT Scrambler. The scrambler joined us for some new tyres.

Another BMW, the giant R18 joined us too this morning. The R18 customer had purchased a rear shock extender which should normally sit at the top of the shock and elongate it, making the rear slightly higher. However, in this case the part the customer had sourced was an incorrect fitment for the R18. Therefore, our customer is now considering his other options.

Thursday

Thursday was a very busy day.

First up we welcomed a CCM Maverick for its first service.

Next up a Yamaha MT07 for its first service.

We also welcomed a CCM Blackout to replace the front brake disc.

Next up a Suzuki VL800 for an Interim Service and MOT.

In between we continued work on the BMW GS1200, Daniel was in the MOT bay completing MOTs and we welcomed a Honda CBF125 to the workshop which only upon receipt have we discovered is a European spec and none of the UK parts we have purchased for it fit. More on this one next week when the EURO spec parts arrive.
