Sunshine & showers may not seem like the best motorcycle riding conditions, but that hasn’t stopped the mono motorcycles & vehicle security bookings rolling in. We are reassured that so many motorcycle riders are conscientious enough to keep their motorcycles regularly serviced & that essential repairs are being acted upon as they appear.

This week we have seen our latest Triumph RS Sprint be put through it’s paces. With all original parts being fitted during a full service, this Triumph RS Sprint will be ready to return to her owner as soon as the new water pump arrives, which has been on back order.

In addition, we have had a Yamaha R6 in for wiring updates. While worknig on the motorcycle, Daniel Morris discovered that the rear brake pads were almost metal n metal. The customer was more than happy with our assessment & authorised us to flush the brake fluid & change the pads.

Last week we had a call from a concerned mother about her Son’s Sinnis 125 Cruise Star. With the back brake light not working & the gear linkage being completely worn; the motorcycle was understandably not safe for a younger motorcycle rider. We collected the Sinnis & upon further inspection found that the exhaust had broken, apparently a common problem with this model. In addition, it was discovered that the dear linkage was so badly worn, it would not engage at all.  Our initial worries about sourcing parts, were allayed when Daniel Morris found that a main dealer in Brighton not only stocked parts, but had all of the components we needed. With a quick turn around on parts, the Sinnis is now ready to go back to her very eager owner & a mother can rest assured that mono motorcycles & vehicle security have ensured that for now  her son’s motorcycle is safe to ride.

The lovely 2 stroke Jawa paid us another visit this week, as the clutch cable has snapped. We also completed the KTM Superduke & she flew through the MOT.

Our last visitor this week was Alan Judd with his Jawa 350 2 stroke twin. We have featured her before, as Daniel converted her from a 6v to 12v last year. Today, the indicators were refusing to flash. So, a quick change of flasher relay & off she went.

In amongst the hub bub of the mono motorcycles & vehicle security week, we have of course been finishing preparations for our 1st Birthday ride in this coming Sunday 29 April. We’ve secured a ‘Burger Wagon’ which will be rustling up breakfast: Coffee Pug’s Barista Francesca will be serving delicious freshly ground coffees, we will be collecting for our chosen charity Serv Wessex Blood Bikes  & every attendee will receive a 10% Off Voucher for any works undertaken at mono motorcycles & vehicle security. We hope to see you there.
