Motorcycle wiring, motogadget, servicing & repairs at mono motorcycles, Chichester

Wow! What a busy week we have had. The Kawasaki ZZR was completed, we welcomed two Harley Davidsons, Daniel got excited about antigravity batteries & the Buell XB12SS motogadget project arrived.

A few people have asked about the e-CUB we are building. Despite having the eCUB, kit we are still waiting for the battery to be shipped as it’s stuck in Shanghai due to the Coronavirus.

On the plus side we will be building a petrol Cub alongside the e-CUB which will be running a full motogadget system. Having already bought the cub, it will now be extensively modified to become the mono motorcycles motogadget Cub. Watch this space!

On Tuesday, while Daniel completed the ZZR, Katy set to task with detailing the Harley Davidson Sportster.

One of our customers asked us for a solution for being able to switch his Garmin Satnav between his plethora of machines. As all of his motorcycles have leads for the Noco battery maintainers that we supply; we happily obliged by making a lead with a male end so the lead can simply be swapped from bike to bike within seconds without needing to access the battery.

Our second Harley Davidson of the week joined us with a carb/fuelling issue.

The CV carbs can be a bit temperamental, however after finding a blocked slow running jet, ultrasonic clean, correct cable adjustment & a couple of road tests to get the mixture screw set correctly it’s now running much smoother.

“Terrible when you get excited about small things! Introducing the Antigravity lithium-ion Battery! This 4 cell version is the smallest battery they do with a massive 120cca! Just 11cm long 3.5cm deep & 9cm high it’s perfect for a scaled down project we are building” Daniel Morris

On Thursday we welcomed our next big motogadget rewire to the mono motorcycles workshop.

The Buell XB12SS, black as pitch, has been extensively modified by her devoted owner.

The Buell’s owner has sustained an injury to his right arm & has therefore modified the handlebar set up. The air box has a bespoke hole to allow the handlebars to turn safely. All of the controls have been calibrated for his own use.

The Buell owner has owned her for 10 years & he originally did not want to let her out of his sight, seeking a mobile service from Daniel. Through many conversations, building a rapport & a trust between Daniel & our customer; the Buell owner agreed for his beloved motorcycle to join us at our workshop, to which end we respect his decision.

Every single motorcycle which comes through our doors is treated with the same respect we would treat our own.

Every so often we welcome a motorcycle which has a truly unique connection to the owner, a lifeline if you will & we wholeheartedly respect the wishes of the owners & thank them for the trust they bestow upon us.

The Buell will undertake a full wiring transformation having the very latest motogadget system installed.
