Another busy fortnight with a very successful breakfast club and a Brands Hatch track day to add extra flavour.

Let’s take a look at some of the motorcycles which have joined us this past fortnight.

Tuesday 17th June

First up we welcomed a Yamaha Tracer GT for a new set of Dunlop Roadsmart IV tyres ready for a European tour.

Next up a Ducati Superlight – already stripped – joined us for cambelts.

Daniel continued working on a lovely Yamaha XVS Custom. The XVS has joined us for some repairs to an existing motogadget system, a service and an MOT.

We also welcomed a Triumph Thruxton for a safety check/MOT and a Triumph Tiger GT pro for a safety check. Two great sales from DJK Motorcycles Ltd

Thursday 19th June and Friday 20th June

On Thursday we welcomed back Bella the Honda NC750 for her annual service and MOT and then a Triumph Bobber for annual servicing and an MOT.

We also welcomed a CCM Street Moto for servicing and a bespoke mono motorcycles tail tidy.

On Friday in between tyre fitting for a Suzuki Sv650 and plenty of MOTs we welcomed a CCM Foggy for servicing and an MOT.

We also welcomed a Suzuki V-Strom to fit a lowering link and a BMW 9T for servicing, MOT and tyres. Another great sale by DJK Motorcycles Ltd

Sunday 22nd June

What a fantastic morning at the mono motorcycles June breakfast club.

The warm weather stayed with us and a wonderful eclectic selection of bikes joined us.

Enormous thanks to Andrew and Jack of Cattle Box Kitchen for another sensational breakfast.

We had a lovely surprise when Daniel’s Uncle Tim and Aunty Liz arrived and Daniel’s good friends Pete and Terry from his AA years came to catch up too.

It was great to see so many familiar faces and to welcome some new ones today.

Thank you to everyone for all your continued support of us here at mono motorcycles. We are both so very grateful.

Monday 23rd June and Tuesday 24th June

A busy start to the week.

On Monday we welcomed a Honda NC750X for heated grips and a waterproof USB.

We also welcomed a Kawasaki ZZR1400 for servicing, rear tyre and an MOT.

We are also catching up with a few things, as is the nature of the beast.

On Tuesday we welcomed a lovely Yamaha X-Max for a full service and belt and a Honda CCB1000 for removal of the DB killer (at the customer’s request) and a service.

Wednesday 25th June

A fantastic afternoon at Brands Hatch on Wednesday.

So, we all took the day off and headed to Brands for an evening track day and also so Oaklie could complete his ACU license (Auto-Cycle Union) This now means he can ride 600cc bikes on track and if he wanted to, pursue racing.

Daniel took his BMW S1000R for its second track day of the year and is now starting to gel with it and our good friend Simon ripped it up on the Yamaha R6.

A truly brilliant way to spend a warm and sunny June afternoon.

Thursday 26th June

While Oaklie took a well-earned rest on Thursday after Wednesday’s excitement, Daniel got to grips with a BMW R1200 GS.

The GS joined us to assess a misfire, a major service and a Snow foam clean/ACF50 treatment.

First up Daniel had to diagnose the cause of the misfire. The bike had an EML on the dash and wouldn’t rev above 3000rpm. Under investigation it was found to be the cam sensor and oxygen sensor at fault. These parts are now on order.

Daniel completed the rest of the major service and cleaned the BMW on Friday. The sensors will arrive early next week.

Friday 27th June

On Friday we welcomed back a Kawasaki ZZR600 for a full service. During the service it was found that the fuel hose had perished and that there had been a coolant leak.

We have had to order the fuel hose, but we managed to sort the coolant.

Change of date for our July and October Breakfast Clubs!

For the first time ever, we are changing the dates for our July and October Breakfast Club.

Those lovely folk at Cattle Box Kitchen were unable to support our original dates in July and October, but as you all love their food so much, I have asked them kindly if they would consider an alternative date and they have come up trumps.

Change your diaries, update your phones as we now have a Breakfast Club on Sunday 13th July, Sunday 24th August, Sunday 28th September and Sunday 12th October.
