New Breakfast Club caterers Mike and Jordan of MJ Fine Foods tell us more about their dreams and aspirations.
Mike and Jordan met at Warblington Secondary School in 2003 as they started their secondary school journey. It took them a couple of weeks for their friendship to blossom, but once they got to know each other, they just clicked and have been inseparable ever since.
It was during their late teens that they started the conversation about one day opening a food establishment or eatery together. At this point they didn’t really know what they would like to do. A restaurant? Pop up? Food truck?

Being such close friends and both with a passion for being creative in the kitchen, the dream of opening an eatery together sometime in the future just seemed like the most natural thing for them to do. Despite them both having heads full of ideas at a young age, life changed for both of them and the ‘eatery’ plans were put on hold.
Mike went on to become a professional chef and has always had a passion for food. Mike started his career at Fat Olives, Emsworth and then expanded to other restaurants taking on the role of Head Chef.
While they build up MJ fine Foods together, Mike has returned to Fat Olives a couple of days a week and supports other restaurants when needed.
Jordan has always worked in telecommunications and data engineering. However, he has always had a passion for cooking, learning to cook with his mum from a very young age. Jordan also has a keen interest in the science behind the culinary world too.
In 2024 the family ties between Mike and Jordan were further tightened when Jordan married Mike’s Sister.
With them now being brother in laws their dream of opening an eatery came back into their conversations and at the beginning of 2024 they decided that this was the right time to put their business plan into action.

Mike and Jordan opened MJ Fine Foods in October 2024 and have been building their business ever since. MJ Fine Foods have a regular pitch at the Emsworth Sports and Social Club in Emsworth, are registered with Just Eat and have been booked for plenty of private functions in their first year.
Throughout the summer months MJ Fine foods also found themselves serving up breakfast options for several local camping and caravan parks, another string to their growing bow.
MJ Fine Foods focus on providing delicious food using top quality ingredients. Their succulent smash burgers and their incredible chicken burger have people coming back over and over again (Daniel can vouch for this)

They also serve up traditionally thin and crispy hand pulled pizzas. Check their social media channels for when and where they are serving these.

MJ Fine Foods have also had a couple of pop-up events at The Deck Café and Restaurant in Ensworth where they have been able to showcase their fine dining menus and expand their repertoire.
Mike and Jordan are both passionate foodies with dreams and aspirations to move their fledgling business forward. With Mike being a full-time chef and Jordan being a serious home cook legend (his words) it’s their combination of great friendship, passion and drive which makes their business work.
We (Daniel and Katy) are both looking forward to welcoming Mike and Jordan and MJ Fine Foods to our Breakfast Club on Sunday 26th October and into 2026. We are also really looking forward to being able to sample their evening menu at our charity Gig at The Pallant Centre on Saturday 29th November.
Here at mono motorcycles, we are happy to support up and coming businesses. One of the best ways you can show your support is to give their Facebook or Instagram page a like, share their pages with your friends and oh yes of course, get down to one of their pop-up’s or find them at one of their pitches and order some incredible food made by truly passionate people.
