It has been a real pick ‘n’ mix kind of a week here at mono motorcycles. Let’s take a look at some of the motorcycles we have welcomed through our doors.

Saturday 18th

Meet ‘Dennis’, our brand-new Royal Enfield Hunter 350 hire bike!

A massive thank you to Keiron at Sykes Royal Enfield for sorting us out with this beauty.

Monday/Tuesday

It’s been an incredibly busy and varied couple of days here at mono motorcycles.

Yesterday, Oaklie got stuck into the PDI on our latest AJP PR7 sale. This stunning all-black PR7 is being kitted out with some crash bars, a lowering link, and a fresh set of the excellent Dunlop Trialmax Raid tyres.

Next up, our new hire bike ‘Dennis’ (the Royal Enfield Hunter 350) went up on the ramp for his PDI, and today Oaklie fitted him with a top box and some crash bars so he’s ready for action.

We’ve also had a real mix of bikes through the door:

– A Moto Guzzi California in for its annual service and MOT.

– A Triumph Tiger 1200 XRT for a safety check.

– A Honda CBR954 to diagnose a running fault.

– A Ducati Hypermotard in for a DESMO service. During the strip-down, we found the engine oil was pitch black and overfilled by a whopping 1.5 litres! We also discovered a collapsed rear wheel bearing. The wheel bearing was replaced after we managed to source one in France!

– A Kawasaki Vulcan VN1500 for an annual service.

– An AJS Modena scooter that has been sitting dormant for just over a year. With a bit of persuasion, some fresh fuel, and a carburettor clean, she fired right back to life. We’re fitting new tyres tomorrow before heading off for an MOT.

Weds

On Wednesday it was Sprockets 7^th Birthday!

It was also a proper pick-and-mix day in the workshop on Wednesday!

We started first thing with a Honda PCX 125 in for its running-in service, closely followed by a brand-new Royal Enfield Bear 650 getting its first service.

Next up, a KTM 990 Duke joined us for its first service, followed by a regular visitor—a lovely Ducati Scrambler in for its annual service and MOT. We finished up the day with a Honda NC750 for an annual service.

Thursday

It was Triumph vs. BMW in the workshop today!

Over on ramp one, in Oaklie’s corner, we’ve got a Triumph Tiger Sport in for a major service. It’s a good job it came in, as we found all of the inlet valves were out of tolerance and need re-shimming.

Meanwhile, over in Daniel’s corner, we have the giant BMW R1250RT. The big RT joined us today for a full service and MOT.

Friday we welcomed back the lovely Royal Enfield 350 Classic for a 12000 mile service and new front brake pads.

On Saturday 25th July we will be attending the Helmet City Open Day. We will betaking an AJP PR7 our Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Katy’s CCM Bobber to display.

We have taken the very difficult decision to postpone this coming Sunday’s breakfast club. The weather just looks too changeable and if it does decide to fully rain, it is not fair on our caterer if no one shows. Thank you for all your support and we will see you in August.
