Super service week at mono motorcycles!

It’s been not stop motorcycle services here at mono motorcycles this week! Let’s see which motorcycles we have welcomed through our doors!

Monday

First up on the ramp we welcomed back one of our regular customers, the Yamaha MT09 which joined us for Annual Servicing.

Service packages start from:

Annual Service from £80 + Parts + Cons + Env charge + VAT.

Full Service from £165 + Parts + Cons + Env charge + VAT.

Major Service from £330 + Parts + Cons + Env charge + VAT.

All costs are motorcycle make & model dependant, so please do check with us first before making your booking.

The second service of the week we welcomed a Honda CBR600F for Major Servicing, new tyres, brake discs front & rear, brake pads front & rear, carb balancing & chain & sprocket kit.

The third service (another regular at mono motorcycles) was for the Harley Davidson Softail. The Softail joined us for Annual Servicing & some additional assessments.

One of the HT leads had been nibbled by a resident mouse, the fuel gauge had finally given up & the oil leak identified by the customer was found to be coming from plastic connectors on the pipes from the oil tank to the oil pump.

Having gathered a list of parts, presented them to our customer for approval, we are now just waiting on the fuel gauge & one of the HT leads from Harley Davidson to be able to complete the work.

Tuesday

First up on the ramp on Tuesday morning, we welcomed the second Yamaha MT09 of the week back for Annual Servicing, followed by another regular in the form of a Ducati Multistrada for Annual Servicing & then on to the Kawasaki ZX12R for pre sales prep on behalf of DJK Motorcycles Ltd

Wednesday

On Wednesday we welcomed another Yamaha Vmax to the mono motorcycles workshop. The Vmax arrived for Servicing & arranging of an MOT, but when the customer dropped the bike off to us, he also mentioned it wasn’t charging, despite a brand new battery having been fitted.

Under investigation Daniel found that the regulator rectifier had failed & this was what was causing the charging fault. A new reg/rec is now on order & will be fitted once it arrives.

Thursday

On Thursday Daniel began the Major Service & cambelt change on the Ducati 900 Supersport.

When the cambelts are changed they need to be tightened to the correct Khz using the appropriate TEXA tool. The engine must be locked in place with a locking tool to ensure the timing marks match when the new belts are fitted.

Friday

Friday morning Daniel completed the Service on the Ducati & with the new regulator rectifier having arrived for the Vmax, he fitted the new part & the Vmax is now charging correctly.

Bookings

We are, as you can imagine, very busy at this time of year & therefore if you know your motorcycle is due a service in Autumn/Winter this year or you are seeking repairs or considering motogagdet wiring for your custom project; please do contact us well in advance to enquire about our availability.

If you pop over to our Facebook forum https://www.facebook.com/groups/1515756125408284/?ref=share_group_link

I will arrange it on there.

All welcome, all abilities. All the best, Dan”
