As we shift into project season and start to prepare for some of our winter recommissions, we take a look at a few of the bikes which have joined us this week.
Triumph Street Triple
This week we have welcomed a lovely Triumph Street Triple 675. The Street Triple – available to purchase from @ DJK Motorcycles Ltd – joined us for pre-sales servicing, headstock bearings and new tyres.
The Triumph will have a fresh new MOT at the point of sale, ready for its new owner to ride away ready for the road.

Yamaha MT10
On Monday we welcomed a Yamaha MT-10 to the workshop.
The MT-10 joined us as one of the coolant pipes was leaking on the front of the engine. It’s not as easy a fix as it sounds as the exhaust had to be removed to access the pipe.
Once the pipe had been replaced and the coolant replaced, the bike was run up on the bench until hot.
It is always necessary after draining coolant and refilling to make sure there are no air locks in the system.
Aprilia RSV4
Also this week we have welcomed an Aprilia RSV4 for a Major Service. The Aprilia is new to our customer and as there is no evidence of the major service in the service logs, he wisely chose to get the major done so that all bases were covered in one go. All major servicing includes valve clearance checks as standard.
During the process of the service, a coolant leak was identified. The coolant leak was found to be under the throttle bodies.
Daniel removed and replaced 3 hoses, the water sensor and the plastic union.
Once the throttle bodies were refitted, he was then able to refill the bike with coolant.
Honda Africa Twin
On Thursday we welcomed a Honda Africa Twin for an MOT and Interim Service.
Kawasaki Z1000sx and BMW S1000RR
We had a double whammy on Wednesday when we welcomed two stunners from the motorcycle world. The beast that is the BMW S1000RR and the bullet that is the Kawasaki Z1000SX.
The Kawasaki Z1000SX joined us for an interim service, new tyres and an MOT.
Both bikes joined us as part of our winter free collection/delivery service (local only)

The BMW S1000RR joined us for an interim service and an MOT.
Winter valet and ACF50
On Thursday the BMW S1000RR and Kawasaki Z1000SX were valeted and given some protection from the ACF50 treatment.
ACF-50 can penetrate deep into crevices, deactivates corrosion, and prevents further corrosion. It can also dissipate moisture and provide an atmospheric barrier to prevent further moisture contact. ACF-50 is safe to use and does not contain wax, resin, or silicon.
An ACF50 treatment should last you through the winter months.

Motorcycle Tyres
Looking for winter tyres? Need to upgrade to cope with the winter roads?
We hold a small stock of tyres and can source most makes/sizes overnight.
