Motorcycle servicing, ride outs, biker events and magazine interviews at mono motorcycles.

Blog

Well, we finally had some fine weather over the weekend and managed to get out for our first ride of the year!

It was lovely to get out in the sun, have a delicious breakfast and get some miles on the bikes.

Therefore, we’ve had a shorter week this week.

Tuesday

The previous weekend Daniel had stripped down our friends Ducati Diavel to replace the rear shock. However, the Ducati had other ideas about being taken apart and being put back together easily and she is still on the ramp this week. The parts which are needed to repair the bike have now arrived, so she should be back on her wheels in the next week.

On Tuesday we welcomed back the lovely Suzuki A100 for some MOT failure repairs, a Triumph Sprint for pre-sales assessments (DJK Motorcycles) and a Honda CRF 200M for pre sales servicing (DJK Motorcycles).

Wednesday

On Tuesday evening we collected a very rare Yamaha MT01 on behalf of a specialist bike dealer. The bike having been sold to a local gentleman had developed a fault. We were contacted as one of the 5* service and repair establishments close to the owner and asked if we could assist with a diagnosis.

The dealer in question is based in the North of England and they have a network of approved technicians across the country who support them should any of their motorcycles develop any after sales faults.

Once we have reported our findings back to the specialist dealer, we can then share them with our followers.

Daniel made great headway with the Suzuki GSX-R 750 Slingshot engine rebuild today and in its complete state it looks factory fresh.

Thursday

On Thursday we welcomed back Luke Goldsmith – Sales Director for Coryton as part of a collaborative interview for British Dealer News. British Dealer News is available to all motorcycle dealers in the UK. Once the article is published, we can share it with you all here. Watch this space! Huge thanks to Rick Kemp from British Dealer News.

Daniel has been busy preparing for this year’s track season with his first track day booked at the end of April.

Some people spend considerable sums of money on painting and primping their track bikes. Daniel has chosen the inexpensive but effective vinyl wrap and stickers route and apart from advertising our business, you can now certainly see him coming!

Friday

On Friday we welcomed Triumph Tiger XCX for pre-sales servicing DJK Motorcycles Ltd and a Suzuki V-Strom for repair assessments including a brake overhaul, fork seals leaking and chain and sprockets. With the V-Strom, once the customer has been advised of the bikes needs/costs and they have approved the work, then we can proceed with ordering parts and commencing repairs.

Events

Our first Breakfast Club of 2023 is nearly here and we cannot wait to see you all. Hopefully the weather will sort itself out and the sun will be with us.

Don’t forget to pick up your 10% off servicing voucher if you attend any of our breakfast clubs.

mono motorcycles sustainability

We have recently been working with Coryton, a UK based sustainable fuel manufacturer.

Coryton’s slogan “While the world talks about the electric future, SUSTAIN® is a solution for now” will resonate with many in the transport sector.

Coryton’s SUSTAIN® is part of Coryton’s responsibly blended bioethanol and bio-gasoline portfolio which can enable today’s vehicles to produce less greenhouse gas while using the infrastructure already in place.

We hope you find our video informative and lets collectively save the internal combustion engine. Share with your friends. Share with groups, dealerships, politicians (if you know any) literally anyone in the motorcycle community and let’s get the conversation about sustainable fuels going.
