The mono motorcycles workshop has been mostly dominated by the motogadget installation to the Honda Zoomer this week (separate blog to follow)

We have also welcomed a Royal Enfield, BMW R1200R, BMW K1300S, BMW R nineT & a new member of staff joined us too!

The Wheel Specialist, Fareham – 15^th Birthday

We were really lucky to have ben invited to celebrate The Wheel Specialist, Fareham’s 15^th Birthday on Sunday 16^th October. Thank you to Olly Snow for inviting us to the event. It was lovely to meet some new faces & chat all things bikes & cars.

Honda Zoomer (Honda Ruckus) – motogadget

The Honda Zoomer motogadget installation began on Monday & Daniel started by tidying up the headlight/indicator assembly & now the cabling has a clean minimalistic look having been fully braided.

The next task was to wire up the momentary push switches & install them onto the Zoomer.

The customer has already fitted the m.unit blue & battery. We will be writing a separate technical blog about the Zoomer wiring.

BMW R1200R & BMW K1300S – TPS & Safety checks 

It was busy Monday afternoon at Farmstormer! BMW R1200R with us for TPS (throttle potentiometer sensor) replacement & set up & the BMW K1300S joins us for safety checks & exhaust adjustment. Another great sale for DJK Motorcycles Ltd

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 – Fork upgrade

Yesterday we welcomed a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 to the Mono Motorcycles workshop for a fork upgrade. The YSS kit dramatically improves the comfort and handling of the front suspension on the Interceptor & Daniel found a considerable difference in performance & handling from when the bike arrived, to when the upgrade had been installed.

The YSS Kit includes:

1 x 250 ml YSS fork oil 15W. (Important Note -Oil will not be shipped on export orders due to shipping regulations)

2 x high performance fork springs.

2 x Fork emulator valves with adaptor rings.

2 x Steel spacer tubes.

2 x Pre load/ride height – adjustable alloy fork tops.

2 x spacer to spring shims.

YSS stickers.

Fitting for the fork upgrade was 2 hours @ £55 p/hr + £5.00 Cons + £5.00 Env + VAT = £144.00

BMW R nineT Custom – new tyres

Gorgeous BMW R nineT at the mono motorcycles workshop today. The nineT joined us for fitting of Dunlop Mutant tyres, the perfect tyre for a rainy Thursday. Dunlop Mutant’s provide you with the kind of handling & stability you expect from hypersport tyres, the very best grip in wet conditions this side of racing wets, as well as the kind of durability that you would find among touring fitments.

New member of the mono motorcycles team

We would like to introduce you to our new member of the mono motorcycles team. Please join us as we welcome Oaklie White as Motorcycle Workshop Assistant & what better way for us to introduce Oaklie is with him doing what he does best, trials riding.

Oaklie has been trials riding since he was five years old & is currently running First in the Clubman B Class of the Bognor Regis & District MCC . Oaklie is currently studying Level 1 Motorcycle at Chichester College.

On Friday Oaklie reccommissioned what was a non running Gas Gas which has been sat for two years. The recommission included draining the old fuel, stripping, cleaning, rebuilding & refitting the carb & getting the bike running smoothly. Welcome to the team Oaklie

mono motorcycles October Breakfast Club cancelled

Sadly due to the unsettled weather forecast for the weekend we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our last breakfast club of 2022.

We would like to thank everyone who has come along this year & supported our events, huge thanks to Alex from The Barleycorn for serving up great breakfasts for us & we will be back in April 2023.

Goodwood Vee-power Sunday Breakfast Club

We have re-booked our slot for the Goodwood Vee-power Sunday Breakfast Club on Sunday 6th November. We will be promoting mono motorcycles in the paddock area. Come & say hello or discuss your motorcycle service, repair or motorcycle wiring needs.

mono motorcycles Custom & Classic Bike Show 2023

Our second Custom & Classic Bike Show is already planned for Sunday 18th June 2023. We are already taking registrations for motorcycles in a variety of categories:

2023 Categories:

Best in Show, Best Paint, Best Custom, Best Cafe Racer, Best Bobber, Best flat tracker/scrambler,

Best Modern Classic (any fully restored modern classic 1970-1999),

Mini Mayhem (Fully restored classic or custom under 200cc),

Best eBike Custom (fully electric motorcycle)

Register your bike by sending an email to info@monomotorcycles.co.uk with a description of the bike, at least 4 photographs of the front, sides & rear & which category you wish to enter.
